FAQ
What is the percentage increase formula?
Percentage Increase = ((New − Original) ÷ Original) × 100. Example: from 100 to 125 → (125 − 100) ÷ 100 × 100 = 25% increase.
How do I calculate the new value after a percentage increase?
New Value = Original × (1 + Increase% ÷ 100). Example: $100 with a 25% increase → $100 × 1.25 = $125.
Is a 100% increase the same as doubling?
Yes. A 100% increase means the value has increased by itself — it has doubled. A 200% increase means it has tripled (you've added twice the original). Be careful not to confuse "X% increase" with "increased to X% of the original."
